Bourbon Street Chicken

LLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVED THIS!!! Party in my tummy so yummy loved it. It's a great easy recipe with simple ingredients and comes together quick. Was great over rice. Adding in some steamed veggies would be good too. And you can easily adjust the heat level.



Bourbon Street Chicken

2lbs boneless skinless chicken breast - cut in to chunks
1T olive oil
1 clove garlic -crushed
1/4tsp ginger
3/4tsp crushed red pepper flakes
1/4C apple juice
1/3C brown sugar
2T ketchup
1T apple cider vinegar
1/2C water
1/3C soy sauce
1T cornstarch

Heat oil in a large skillet. Add the chicken and cook until lightly browned. Remove chicken. Add remaining ingredients and stir well until everything is combined and dissolved. Add chicken. Bring to a hard boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
